Default Smart phone mount for C5

Can anyone suggest a good smart phone mount for me. I like to use my smart phone to play music. I would like to keep the cup holder for the coffee!

looks nicer than the one I have with alligator clips for the vent that eventually fatigue and need 're-education' with a heat gun!!

Do you have the music come through the speakers? if so, how do you do it.. I don't have an aux port.. or do you have an aftermarket stereo?
I'm guessing the later...

I try to forget it after I stick it but it keeps nagging. What am I doing wrong?

I took this, cutoff the mounts in the back, attached zip ties and placed on my vent:

The arms and be narrowed or widdened and the side arms are removable. The arms ratchet and release with a click of a small button. I have an aux input, and hard wired a charger both of which come out my vent. Here it is in the lower right:

I use one of those myself. But I use the clips it came with to fasten to my vent in my STS. The suction cup thing broke the other day.

In my vette I use one of those cup looking things they sell at Mid America that holds phones, ipods, and it comes with a pen place for pens too.

But I also have a single din cup holder I bought, whatever the name of them is.

Question.

Does having those things attached to the vents effect anything?

Thanks. I think this mount would work. I think I would try to adapt a gutted cigarette light plug to it and mount it in the cigarette lighter next to the ashtray. I like my cup holder.

not really, its low enough that its not affecting the air exiting. I did the same thing in my dd where I run the heater through the winter and no il affects from blowing hot air onto the phone from the past 2 years.

Thanks.

I just got it a couple weeks ago and was hesitant to use the vent mount, but was forced to when I broke the suction cup mount, being stupid.

You'll be drawing electric power won't you, if you do that? I don't know if I would do that.

Oh sorry, I see you said gutted. make sure you take out all metal components for sure.
