I bought some led reverse lights from jwmotoring recently and I tried to pull the old light bulb out instead of turning it clockwise to free up the two little nipples on it so it would come out easily. The "pulling straight out" motion resulted in the little metal piece that the light bulb rests on, to come out and bend slightly. I proceeded to straighten the metal piece and reinsert it. I then installed the led reverse light. I then did the passenger side reverse light (by turning the old bulb to get it out instead of pulling it and that side went flawlessly) I had someone behind me to check the lights out, and the drivers side does not light up (pass side works fine) and while the car is running/driving, the interior lights and security lights are coming on and off like crazy. Also, when I lock the car with the key fob, the interior lights go crazy and sometimes stay on . Everything else in the Z still works good, but I am wondering what I did/what happened and how it can be fixed? Any input is greatly appreciated. All these lights flickering and flashing makes me feel like I just stepped into an old beater and not a classy corvette…..I'd like to get that "special feeling" back when I drive again. Thanks guys
Hmmm, thats an odd one. how is the condition of the battery? are the terminals clean? You might try disconnecting the battery and reconnecting? good luck with the problem and keep us posted.
Thanks guys. The battery is a brand new Interstate battery with clean solid connections. I may just get the new socket for the light bulb and splice it in. Hopefully that works….
