It's a 2002
All the bolt on goodies and getting a 228R cam installed next week.

I just came back to a C5Z06 after a C6 LS2, Than a Porsche 996. These are great cars and sort of a classic now. I had one seven yeas ago, so this is my second Z.

Historically, Corvetteforum has allowed vendors to post sale threads in most sections of the site. The premise was to allow supporting vendors exclusive marketing privileges on the site in exchange for fees that would pay the considerable monthly bandwidth charges. That made the site free for the rest of us.

That model has not changed since 1999, although a couple of years ago we put a limit on the number of sales threads a vendor could have on the first page of any two-day directory so as to try and prevent vendor sales threads from overwhelming user posted content.

That has helped, but the policy is not as effective in sections that don't draw much traffic such as the C5 ZO6 section. In a more active section, vendor sales threads sometimes are pushed off the first page of a directory after several hours. In this section, they pile up for a full two days on the two-day directory.

The situation also is exacerbated this time of year with all retailers trying to take advantage of the holiday buying season. I've read that some retailers depend on this buying season for 25 percent to 50 percent of their annual sales.

We're reviewing a number of proposals to address the situation, particularly as it affects sections with low activity levels. Meanwhile, if you believe a particular vendor is overwhelming this or other sections with sales threads, please alert a moderator via the "report post" (triangle outlined in red) function or by PM or e-mail.

The current practice is to allow them no more than three sales threads on the first page of a two-page directory.
