Default Ghl bullets

i am considering ghl bullets to replace the b@b bullets currently on my mostly stock 99 c5 with 25000 miles. i like the b@b exhaust but my wife not so much......before i order the ghl's i want to get some feedback from people who actually own them on how they sound. everything i have read about them promises no DRONE, but i want to be sure.......Clay

Any way to convert it to the B&B Fusion system?

GHLs are fantastic, I switched to Corsa because after my EG cam I had bad drone, though most don’t. Helped a buddy with the same cam install the GHLs on his car last week and the sound is amazing, his car has very little drone, I guess I was just unlucky with mine.

Have mine on for two years now. Great sound. Absolutely no drone. I wouldn't hesitate to get them.

I think GHLs are the best sounding exhaust, but I do have LTs, blower cam, and S/C. If I do have drone, I can't hear it!

I put on my GHL Bullets after my heads/cam upgrade. My B&B Bullets were stupid loud/drone/resonance after the heads/cam, and my wife would not drive with me anymore. I put on GHL Bullets and I think its the best sound out there. Deep muscle car sound, and screams at WOT. A friend just put a set on his heads/cam car and loves them... Good deal for $800 shipped from GHL !

My wife drives with me now again ...

My car with GHLs. Some vid with cutouts open too. No drone! Sounds mean. If I want loud I flick a switch.

With headers and stock internals they definitely drone!!! If you do a lot of highway driving around the 1500-1600 RPM range, I would stay away from the GHL’s. Again I'm talking WITH headers.

I went from Borla Stingers, to GHL Bullet’s and now onto Corsa’s. After spending a ton of money on catbacks, the Corsa’s DO NOT drone at the highway cruising RPM range, but scream at WOT.

But the GHL's may be ok without headers…I dunno.
If you’re just cruising around town and not driving long distances, then maybe the GHL's will be fine for you.

Good Luck!

I've got GHL bullets with headers and CAI and I do have a bit of drone around 1500-1600 rpm's. It's a little annoying at times but not all that bad, can still hold a conversation.

No drone here. I am stock minus a Halltech CAI. Love the deep muscle car sound!

I installed a set this summer. It does sound GREAT. But I have a automatic and at 1500 to 1700 it does drone. this puts it about 66 to 69 mph. I have learned how to get around this by increasing acceleration and staying in "drive 3" in city driving and staying above 70 on the freeway. Have thought about putting in a different rear end.

I have GHLs and love the sound. I agree with the guys saying there is drone with headers. I have full bolt ons and at 60mph in 6th it drones. The temp fix is staying above 62-63mph. I've just ordered a set of cats and I'm hoping that will help.
In January I'm going with a different set of gears and a cam. I'm hoping that changes things some.
The only time the drone really bothers me is with the windows up and yes I have the partition. With the windows down it's not a big deal.

They'll reduce your MPG's....or maybe that was just because I couldn't keep my foot out of the gas because they sounded so sweeeeeet.

I love 'em, look quality, sound great. Very little (if any) drone with stock automatic.
