Default Not enough interior light in your C5?!?

BRAND NEW DESIGN!

PLUG AND PLAY LED DOME LIGHT!!!!

Tired of not being able to see what's behind the seat at night?!?!? Even the cargo lights in the trunk only come on when the trunk is open! Well, no longer will you have to 'search in the dark' for whatever you put back there (hopefully in front of OUR C5 PARTITION that is!)

Just updated the website. I'll have the first 50 done Friday. Already have 12 sold locally so if you want one for yourself or as a gift for the holidays.... DON'T DELAY! I will only have these 50 done in time for Christmas delivery!

I'll be updating the website with new pics probably tonight or tomorrow. This thing is tiny and inconspicuous but DOES IT EVER LIGHT UP YOUR INTERIOR!!!!

The pics on the web page don't do it justice but I'll take some tonight to hopefully capture the difference!

Comes with everything you'll need to install it without cutting any wires. Optional (recommended though) 1/4" hole will hide the two tiny wires from being seen between the dome light and the edge of the car's trim panel.

All our LED's are the newest type that are very bright and come with a 2 yr warranty!

Check out the website to order now! CLICK HERE NOW!

Nice product - extra light in the car would be a good addition.

Will have more pics tonight. I know the ones I have up are horrible but it's really hard to get a good pic of it to do it justice. Will post when the website is updated. Friday I will have the first 50 of the thinner, final version done and will take lots of pics of that one. Only have 31 of the 50 left. Once I get the pics and more info up I'm sure those will be sold for Christmas.

The unit mounts with pre-attached 3M emblem adhesive tape (same stuff that hold the emblems on the outside of your car) so it's not coming off accidentally. The hole is very small (1/4") but if you don't want to make the hole, you'll see a heat-shrinked wire (22g - small) for about 1" from the dome light to the edge of the ceiling panel on the Z or the targa release on coupes. I'll have more pics of that probably Friday.

Here's a bunch of pics showing the difference the lighting makes from stock: (pics still don't do it the justice of seeing it in person)
STOCK:

YOU CAN'T EVEN SEE THE CASHMERE PARTITION IN THERE! GOOD LUCK FINDING SOMETHING THERE AT NIGHT IN A DARK PARKING LOT!

With LEDs and Dome light kit:

You've really got to bend down to see the dome light. It's not obstructing the view in the rear view mirror (and the final version on Friday will be almost half as thin!)

New pics posted below of the final version that's only 3/16" thick and textured to better match the interior!

I'm going to install a test one on a local customer's C5 vert hopefully this weekend. I'm thinking it will install above the rear view mirror, but if that doesn't work (may be too bright) we're going to look at two other options to get some nice lighting in there

Will keep you posted!

Getting my attention. Next requirement is red LEDs to match the rest of my lights. Keep up the R and D!

Hey Gary, I have the red LEDs if you don't already. Also, I have a pretty good idea I'll email you with after the weekend that may just be what you want for the vert!

WooHoo! They're done! AND since today is my birthday (what a great way to have a birthday - by finishing a great new project!) I'm going to throw in a free pair of LED bulbs that you can use in the mirror lights or under the dash or your license plate with each dome order.

If you're ordering the full interior and license plate LED lighting kit with the dome light I'll discount the kit $12 if you mention the forum (will refund it back to you).

I swapped out the prototype 5/16" version on one of the cars today and it took a screwdriver to pry that thing off the roof because the 3M tape is so tough!

All pre-orders shipped today!

I only have about 20 of the 50 left unsold. Once you see one in person you're gonna want one!

I think we're going to change the name from 'dome light' to 'Ceiling LED Light Panel'. Dome light just doesn't do it justice.....

I could be interested in one for a FRC if that's in the works. Would be nice to have some extra light at night up high and not just on the floor.

Thanks to those who ordered from the Forum!

If anyone needs a light kit or LED ceiling light panel by Christmas, you'll have to pay for Express shipping by Thursday. We'll take $10 off to help offset the cost.

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!

Thank you for the quick service. Ordered on the 12-16 and arrived 12-20. Too cold to be in the garage right now. Michigan. Looks like a great addition to the car. One of things GM should have included. Thanks.
