This happened to me about a month or two ago, a week ago, and now again today. Basically, while driving the active handling/tc light comes on and it reads out service active handling and then switch back and forth to service vehicle. No codes come up, other than two old history codes. Also, right after I turn the car off and back on, the message goes away. Any suggestions? Should I be concerned? Car is driving just fine and has no handling or performance issues that I can tell of.

Mine does it once in a great while also. Just like you said, it goes away after shutting the car off then back on. I had an 06 c6 that did it way more often, and wouldn't always disappear when i restarted the car.
My guess would be the EBCM...there's a relay in there that's notorious for causing this issue. Surprised there's no code though? I have the same intermittent issue, I've just been procrastinating pulling the EBCM and sending it out to be rebuilt. It's about a $50 fix...unless you go to the dealer and they want to replace the EBCM for ~$1200 parts and labor. Only other thing that comes to mind would be a wheel sensor at one of the hubs for the ABS/TC/AH system...but again, that should throw a code as well.

Yeah there are only two codes and they're history codes that have always been there, so they can't be relevant. I'm going to look them up later just incase though. I'm hoping it stops soon though, seems to be happening more often now which makes me worry.

Yeah it's really frustrating because I can't afford a mechanic right now and this is my daily driver, so it's making me worry :/
Just checked, and I get the C1288 code, which is relevant (steering wheel sensor apparently) but it is a history code. Also, B2284, which could relate to why my passenger window won't roll up? Anways, I'm going to unplug my battery later and see if they come back, thanks for the help guys. What is this steering wheel sensor thing that I can buy, any suggestions as to where I can get it? Easy install?
C1288 is a serious code. Get the steering wheel position sensor replaced ASAP. Until then, turn off TC/AH every time you drive the car.
I had the same code...and the car almost put me into a wall on the highway at 70mph. The driver-side front brake clamped hard because the sensor malfunctioned, and sent me towards the center divider.
The car just gave you a warning....it's going to scare the crap out of you next.

This problem has a few different causes, one of which can be the steering wheel sensor. I never get a code when it happenss. I suspect it to be the ebcm as MTPZo6 mentioned. But, yours can very well be the steering wheel sensor. I've heard quite of few people replacing that sensor, which fixes the problem.
