Header/Pipe Installation by Shop
I asked a local reputable non franchised muffler shop about installing headers and pipes with catalytic converters. I was surprised when he said he couldn't do the installation becasue his shop could be possibly be checked/investigated in reference to the catalyic converter swap out. Anyone else heard of such?

Of course.
Many states have strict, stringent air safty laws in regards to shops eliminating certain (factory) sensors to include eliminating (factory) cat converters, regardless if substituting "hi flow cats.
Many header exhaust systems have warnings that they may not be state legal,& intended to be used for OFF ROAD use only.
