Not sure is this has been addressed or not, but why not place a DIY section under the GENERAL CORVETTE section so there will be a central location for DIY posts. I have no problem using the search feature but there a some out there that do. Just a suggestion.

Perhaps members should explore the forum more - there are a lot of interesting things in the other sections.

The time that I spend on the site is mostly looking at DIY posts. So what about adding a entire DIY forum section (C5 DIY), there's lots of DIY threads floating around on the different sections and yes most have been compiled into stickys but it still would be nice to have it all in one section. The search is great but in my experience the majority of those searches that I try end up at a dead end with people always posting to use the search...don't get me wrong I love the site and I understand why they always say that, but that get's old too.

as previously mentioned I have a C5 Tech DIY sticky posted that has been running for over 2 years. I just recently cleaned it up (again) and added several new threads to the index.

Do you also know we now have a Tech Contributor tag that can be added below your username? If you would like to be a Tech Contributor post up your Tech threads and PM Admin savewave with the links.

If you or anyone else has questions about being a Tech Contributor just send savewave a PM and he can fill you in.

I've read through tons of DIY threads and yours is the best organized by far. I've learned a ton, and enjoy reading through others creative ideas. I'm just saying that if there was a C5 DIY section I would spend most of my time checking it instead of the C5 General or the C5 tech sections. I believe others feel the same. Yours and other DIY stickies could be moved to the top of the C5 DIY forum section.

Then again...others can probably think of dozens of other sections on other topics that they would like to see. So I can see that the set up that is already in place is fine. Has there ever been any type of poll to see if there is any large demand to add another section?

Actually there has and this DIY/Tech Supporter stuff is kind of a step in that direction. Not sure if it would be setup like the Rules section where each topic is locked "read only" for reference or an active participation section which would mean more work for the moderating staff. Really an ongoing work in progress. As with anything suggestions and contributions are always welcome via PM/email or in the case of a DIY post a thread and request that it be added.
