Hardtop/Convertible
I thought some of you convertible guys might find this interesting. I was wondering where this car may be today.

Why would the soft top still be on the car? I don't see any way to use it.

Member here did the same modification, might be the same car.
The hardtop and tonneau cover unbolts as one unit. Uses a hoist system similar to the one used for hardtops on Jeeps.
Drop in and bolt up the convertible tonneau and you're back to a stock convertible.
Depending on how you use the car it makes a lot of sense.

Convertible Z06
Saw this at a Fresno, CA car show this summer. It's a Z06 that's been converted to an automatic retractable convertible.

There was a red one for sale on ebay just recently. Not sure who did the conversion.

I think it's pretty cool. But I'm questioning the cheap neoprene seat covers.

Thanks for posting this John. I have been curious how this could be done. I had to have a Vert but like the FRC look too. Plus I could do track days with a roof. Something to think about.

I saw a retractable like that several years ago at the Lone Star show at Texas Motor Speedway. A company there was trying to sell the conversion.

If you wanted a retractable hardtop, Maybe/maybe not, you could use the mechanism off the Cadillac XLR. Maybe better to buy a Cad and slap Corvette front clip on it, the rear need to stay to accommodate the folding roof.

and lose the Corvette performance, the manual trans option, and have a ridiculously weird hybrid body style mismatch?
