Well, I have to pull a handbrake on my modding plans-before I get to the OZ wheels or 2-DIN nav system, it looks like I need to re-weatherstrip my cabin. Attempts to adjust the tip, and revitalize the weather stripping were proven fruitless as the very slow leak returned in the torrential rain today.
Is there anywhere running a sale on weatherstripping, even like a holiday 5% off everything-type, that any of you know of? I need the front winshield/A-pillar strip for the coup, and the targa strip, so it's going to be pretty hefty.
Any tips from here on out to stop this happening again? I poured gallons of water on the car when I bought it, and it held up, and the owner said that it was leak-free, but also that it had very rarely seen rain, and never snow. It's only in high-speed driving conditions that the water begins to come in. Adjusting tip-in and smearing silicone haven't worked.
