Default Is this a good deal??

Hi I'm new to the forums so I'll get straight to the point.

Looking to purchase the following with extensive engine mods:

2002 Z06 Supercharged 350 - 688hp
-Asking price $26,000
-17,000 miles
-Very Good condition

-Fully forged engine by Schmidt Racing Engines in Indianapolis
-Tune by Mike Norris Motorsports in Indianapolis

1. Is this a good deal?
2. How expensive would maintaining this vehicle be for "occasional use"?

good deal if the work done was done right. It appears it has been, get it checked by a mechanic and drive safe

I bought an 02 Coupe with similar mods and 50,000 miles in August for 23,000.00 Seems like a decent price, seeing how it's a Z06 and only has 17,000 miles. As long as everything stays together you won't have to much in maintenance, you just never know with a used car until you have it awhile. So far the only thing I've had to do to mine is change the supercharger/serpentine belt. Good luck with your decision!

yea. i agree. i tell people that say they're interested in my cars that i beat them like ****** and treat them like queens. to date, the only degradation/replacement ive ever had to do was valve springs that were just worn out. if its maintained, perhaps its no big deal, but i'd be reeeeeeeeal careful having it checked out. im talking find a shop that can stick a scope down the cylinders careful.

That's a SOLID deal. It would cost you waaaaay more than that to buy a stock C5 and build it up to that level if you did it right. Do they have complete records and receipts for everything that was done? Get it checked out by a shop that's worked on built LS motors before...

If you're not going to beat on it and only drive it occasionally maintenance costs shouldn't be much more than those associated with a stock C5... Do you know if anything was done to bolster the drivetrain or was it all power adders?

Sounds like a good deal to me. Go for it as long as the car checks out.

well, if the car DOES blow up, unless you sling a rod out the bottom of the block ruining the engine altogether, you can part out the car for close to what he's asking for it.

Sounds like a good deal, and if you have any questions in regards to our supercharger kit we are always available. Do have it thoroughly checked over though, compression etc etc.
