Default Good starting mods?

Just picked up a Torch Red 2004 C5 Zo6 and the thing is beautiful and only has 21,800 miles on it, but anyways the car is bone stock and I wanted to know what are some good performance mods to buy for it to start. I don't want to go too crazy with the car, I just want it have like 40-50 more whp. Thanks in advance!

Start looking through the For Sale section.. can pick up everything used for probably around $1000.

Good idea, the stock clutch could handle a setup like that right?

Yup! The LS6 clutch is good for at least 450rwhp... it usually starts slipping around 500rwhp.

Youre going to be just shy of 400rwhp probably so definitely more than enough!

Minus the UDP (unless you can do the labor yourself)

My LT headers are still my favorite mod. 40 rwhp gain (with the intake and tune) and they really wake up the stock Ti exhaust giving it a wicked sound at WOT.

Congrats on the new toy!

What would a UDP give you rwhp wise also a LSX intake over the LS6?

UD pulley 3-5 maybe. If you are bolt on only I'd stick with the ls6 intake. I would only change intakes if I went H/C or forced induction. The ls6 is a very good flowing intake to start with.

Longtubes, cai, and a tune. Done. Ud pulley isn't necessary right now. Do that when you do a cam swap. Should put u at 400. Best mod.....driver mod. Learn the car and go from there.
