Started shopping mods for my now stock 03Z. Planning on CAI and headers only. I have been looking at the Kooks and LG's with the x pipe and cat delete to Ti exhaust. Coming from old school small blocks, do these headers seal up better? I cant stand header leaks and the sound it makes. Plus I figure just tightening header bolts will be a pain due to lack of access. I know alot of you guys have put headers on, are leaks common?
Installed stainless works 17/8" headers and catted X pipe fitted great no leaks a few tips :-change the plugs while easy access use same brand headers and X pipe and buy quality clamps also tack the joints to take the pressure off the clamps and finally tighten the header bolt when the car has run for several hours ( do this several times as unlike metal manifold gaskets header gaskets shrink)

Yes they should seal up fine. I always suggest the initial tightening and then heat cycling them a few times and adjusting from there. That worked for my C5.
