HELP! what to look for
I'm looking at a 2001 convertable, what problems should I look for? Are there any issues that most C5's have? I have a C4 I'm trading so I dont know much about these?

See if the column lock issue has been corrected. look for leaks around the rear end. The A/C controls as well as the dash lights can be an issue as these are not simply small light blubs as in most cars. look under the car on both sides and see if there is rocker panel damage. The rocker panels roll under the car and if the car has been bottomed out or jacked up improperly these will be damaged, but I would not be overly concerned with scratches as that can happen going over large speed bumps. Also see if the owner has any maintenance history.

If you search this forum you can find out all kinds of issues people have had. Search is a great place to start. But all in all a C5 is like most used cars that age, it just depends on how well it's been taken care of.
