AIR tube replacement

When I had a set of XS Power headers installed on my 2000, the AIR tube on the passenger side didnt line up (fitting on wrong cylinder) the mechanic put an "extension" on the tube using a piece of high temp hosing, I would like to replace that with somthing that looks better, I was thinking about a piece of braided stainless steel line (Earls or Rusells) any thoughts or ideas, or examples of a solution already installed.
