Default White as a C5 color

I am close to buying my first Vette. I like White but I keep going back and forth on whether it is too "soft" a color for a C5. Other colors seem like they may be more "bad ***." Is white too much the old man C5 color? Sometimes is does look pretty hot and others it looks a little old man or girly. I also like the Speedway White because it is a rarer color but many have told me that makes no difference? Is it worth anymore in resale? Not sure how I feel about White... help with your thoughts please!

I'm happy with my speedway white vette but then maybe I'm an "old man" too!

I like the white on the Vettes.

However I purchased a Z06, Millinium Yellow one.
I think regardless of the color, they are all nice.
Good luck with your decission, you can not go wrong!

White looks great but you have to have chrome to set it off.

This is my second white C5
I had a 97 Arctic white, and now this 2002 Speedway white.

This is an old picture, but you get the idea. I've since added new wheels and tires, Z06 calipers with slotted and drilled rotors, and done some additional exterior cosmetic work.

You'll appreciate that white is less "obvious" running down the highway compared to Arrest Me Red...

I think white is one of the sharpest colors out of all the colors.

White is ok, though it wasn't what I wanted in my Vette at first. Victory Red is my favorite on my 88 C4, but I found this Artic White and bought it with the thought if I didn't grow to like the White I'd shoot it Red later. It's 2 years and I like it now. BUT I also realize it's harder to win car shows with a white car instead of more brillant colors, though I have succeeded on numerous occasions.

White is a GREAT color! I had the same debates with myself when I bought mine, I used to own a red one which was bad azz but now, thinking of the whole picture...(i.e. cruzing, parking, racing, etc.) i believe that white suits me just fine!

White has a great tradition on vettes. First 300, 500 thousandth, one millionth, 1.5 millionth etc, the first and last vette of every gen except the C5 for reasons I won't go into. (don't know about the C6)

My C4 was white with red/blk interior in true Corvette tradition.

You can't get anymore Corvette than that. White has also surpassed silver as the nations best selling color FWIW.

But as was said, they are best dressed up with chrome or some blk accessories. I may post a pic of my old C4 later to give you an idea.
