I would have thought this subject beat to death but a search didn't bring up much. So I need to buy a set sometime before spring.
I had my mind made up on a set of Hankooks due to the good reviews here. But I procrastinated, the price has gone up and the rebate isn't showing. So I was looking at the Kumho Ecsta SPT which comes out about $220 less on a set of 4. I need C6 sizing BTW. Anyone have the Kumhos? I read reviews on Tire Rack and the bigest complaint seemed to be quick wear. That may not be a huge factor with me since I don't anticipate a lot of miles. I had a set of the Solus 21s on another car and was real happy with them.

If not much came up, you ain't using search right.
One problem is like the title of your thread, "tires". Anyone searching "tires" is going to get millions of threads from anything that has tires in it. If you had titled it "Hankook tire prices", or Kumho Ecsta anyone searching later for info would have gotten more specific replies. When you did your search, what did you put in the search box?

I have never owned a new set but have purchased 3 vehicles that had them on, an Infiniti G35, 99 WS6 trans am and my current C5 vert and in each instance I can tell you I hated them, hard and no grip. I replaced them with Nitto NT 555's on an 86 Vette which had Fuzions on it, absolutely horrible and on my current C5, the difference is staggering. I will never buy a Kumho tire.
