My dad has an '86 Convertible, '88 Coupe, and '96 Convertible. It's not like I don't have any past experiences with them. I've already explained to him, when he passes away(hopefully not for another 30 years), and they are still in his garage, I will be auctioning them off on site and won't be touching them.

I certainly won't be buying a C7 new - unless I hit the lottery. Just too much money for my budget to absorb. Now in a few years after the C7s introduction (depending on what it actually turns out to be like), that may be a different story - maybe can pick one up for a good price.

I hope for your sake you father does live another 30 years, but to make a statement like this is a mistake. It seem to me that your father happens to like C4's and I might think about keeping at least one just out of respect for your father.

Well I have owned a C2 a C3 and a C4 so I can honestly tell you that Corvette's existed long before the C5. Drive a big block mid year and you will have a smile on your face for a long time.
I simply cannot understand the comments made on this post. Sure it may have been a strange question but I don't believe it deserved some of the comments that it received.

Believe me. He bought them because that's all he could afford. Sometimes he talks about selling all 3 of them and buying one nice c5 vert. The days of him having nice things ended when he got divorced, and then again when he re-married.

No,,for several reasons! #1,no idea what they will look like,#2 too much speculation on power train,#3 by the time the drop to the affordable range,,I'll probably be too old to care(and still driving my C5)!!
