hood alignment question

hood alignment question
So I need to make a minor adjustment so I don't rub on the rear pass headlight assembly. What the best approach to clear maybe another 1/4 inch. Adjust the bolts that mount to hood or leave it alone and deal with the nuts on the frame? Also will I need to disconnect the strut if I'm sliding it a little?

The bolts that go into the hood only allow for height adjustment. Only the rear is slotted to move up and down. For forward, backward and side to side, loosen the nuts on the frame. You can leave the strut attached. Keep in mind that if you move only one side back it will also effect the fender to hood gap.
Also, the headlight doors are adjustable in 3 dimensions also. There are enough adjustments to while away many an hour trying to get it perfect.

Aligning the whole Sha-bang!
If I was to post a Picture of mine, could one of you give me an Idea where to start? I have a big gap between the drivers headlight and the hood. Side and rear...
