LS3 Hand Built vs Standard
Want to buy a 2012 Coupe or Grand Sport.
Is there any real difference between the dry sump motor and the other if you are not going to track the car?
Kinda like the clean lines of the standard coupe but I am really conflicted about which one to buy. Last Vette I had was a '73 which I purchased new and kept for 9 years.
This car will be a weekend driver only in nice weather. No track use at all. Just around town cruising. Grew up in the 60's so a 6 spd manual is a must have. No automatic for me. Another must have is the F55 suspension. I have driven a car with it and without and I like that option.
So the big question is what am I missing out on by buying a 3LT coupe vs a 3LT Grand Sport?
Also... the Coupe is about 6K cheaper which is a nice savings.

So to sum it up, I would say that if you do not plan on tracking the car and you are happy with the looks of the standard 2012 C6 over the looks of the GS, then go with the standard version. If it were me and I was buying a brand new 2012 I would go with the GS, but that is just me. I might even wait a few more months and see what the new 2013 Anniversary edition is going to sell for.
You may want to think about posting this over on the C6 board.
