It's a little to high maybe. he's trying to get his money back on his mods. I can't fault him for that, but mods only increase the value to those looking for those mods. It doesn't actually increase the value of the car. But he's not to far off I don't think. I'm not a big mod person so some might think it is fine.
That's why a lot of people demod their car when they go to sell it. They can actually get more by selling the mods seperately and not just giving them away.
For what it's worth when I got my '99 FRC in Nov 2010 I paid $12k out the door with 95k miles on it. Granted it only had the SLP loudmouth exhaust on it but the guy threw in a set of the '08 C6 split spokes with tires that had about 50% tread left and the original exhaust. As someone else said...you can find an '01-'02 Z06 for slightly more if you look. Good luck.
Car is priced a little high but mods considered, he is taking a hit. The next Vette I purchase is going to be a modded one bc starting from scratch is going to be more costly. But it does have the advantage of being put together just the way YOU want it...
Good luck

I would think that that car would sell for about $14K or so - he's high on the price. As to what to look for, I've got a Corvette Buyers Checklist that might help you out. PM me your e-mail address is you want a copy.

If you are wanting those mods, this is a pretty good price to start negotiating and perhaps you can talk him down a little. With all of the mods, he is probably losing money to sell it for that. If you don't like the mods, then it is priced too high.
I like the mods he has done and was also looking at this car. He had it for sale for $2k more in December.
I really want a blue FRC, but I am looking for a little lower priced one without as many mods.
I agree with RetiredSFC 97 that you are really low balling to think it is only worth $12K
There were 2090 FRCs built in 2000. I just paid $13500 for a similar mileage FRC in November 2011. Had to put another $2000 for tires, and to fix/maintain a few small things. Normal stuff: bypass/fix flasher, replace oil pressure sender, fluids changed, plugs and wires, etc. Total $15500 Even at 82K miles it is a very nice black on black FRC.
I picked up a 99 FRC 4 months ago for $10,000 with 104k on it. I will admit I lucked out and was in the right place (on the forum) at the right time. I looked for quite a time before I found mine. If that car did not have mods or you did not want mods it should sale for some were between $12,500 to $14,500 depending on the over all condition. If you want a moded car than the mods will raise the price a bit. You are lucky if you recoup 25% of the cost of mods when your selling a car.

I would say around $15-$16k on it. He is not far off on price. It's hard to find a nassau blue frc. 85k miles is nothing on these cars. Then again as others have mentioned, you are at C5 Z06 territory on price if you look hard enough. I have 46k miles on my '99 Nassau blue frc. Beautiful color and I have the best of both worlds!
