Default C5 antifreeze question

I have an 02 Z06 with 8,900 miles. It had the original Dexcool antifreeze in it. It was still running cool as a cucumber but thought it was time to change. I put the car on a lift and unscrewed the drain plug. The anitfreeze came out but only wound up getting a titch less than a gallon. I thought it was approx a 2 gallon system. The antifreeze still looked very good, but wonder how to get system completely drained.

Open the cap on the overflow reservoir and let air into the system, that will get most of it out. Be sure to properly "Burp" the system when refilling or you will have overheating problems.
