Rear letters for the Vette
I purchased a set of cheaper silver letters for the back of my 97 torch red corvette. After a couple months, one of the letters came off. I want to put a better quality (not necessarly more expensive) set of letters on. What are the brands and types of letters you have had good luck with and where did you get them? I am thinking that the stainless letters may be the way to go.
Thanks in advance.

I bought my letters from Ecklers - they are the brakelight red ones and are 3-D. They have held up very well. Another source would be Randy at HRW Motorsports (forum member blacksedan87) - he may have some Cyberdine letters.

I bought the rounded edge stainless steel letters from Mid-America. I have had a few different sets over the years and these are by far my favorite!

I used the red vinyl letters because it looks like they were factory painted. Been on since 04 with no problems so far.

I got mine from Chip

I've had mine on for almost 2 years. Mine is exposed to the elements and has gone through countless washings. The key is surface prep!

One of my concerns is if they come off, or the material in the lettering degrades. I also was wondering if the stick on ones are better than painting them? I was looking at some threads that the paint looks pretty easy to do.

I find it hard to imagine why they went so cheap on the lettering on these things.
But I'm also not sold on the idea of adding stickers. BUT, with that said, if GM did put them on I would imagine they would be the same thing we can buy. Pretty much what came out on the earlier C4s's. Kinda sorta

Give me a call and I would be happy to quote prices, shipping and answer questions about the letters, as well as installation tips to make the letters adhere.

Thanks, Jack! I have the Cyberdine-like letters in a couple of different colors as well as the stainless steel letters in stock. I include the 3M adhesive promoter with the purchase of letters.

I need 2 sets of the front letters? Please PM me a price?

One of my prior sets was the Cybedine, 3D bubble letters. They looked great however even after I properly prepped the area and used the Bonding Pen previously mentioned, the letters did not stand a chance against their first Florida summer rain storm. We were on a club cruise about 2 weeks after I installed them and on the way home drove through a heavy, hazards flashing, summer rain storm. I lost most of the front plate letters and the "Double TTs" off the back.
The SS letters from Mid-America have been on ever since and are rock solid. They also passed the summer rain storm test as well.

I got mine from Ecklers. They are the "Spectrum" ones that changes colors depending on the angle of the light. They've been on the car for 4 years now and no problems of them coming off.
