fuel leak fix
Well I finally brought the car to the dealer to have the fuel system looked at because I kept smelling gas. So after a brief inspection the tech said I needed drivers fuel tank, cross over and some other things. When I first made the appointment the service writer sought of said he knew really nothing of these issues but when I showed him the GM action 10150 and the columns that have been written about the issue his tune suddenly changed and he heard of a few. The dealership was great otherwise from the time the car came in they along with the tech they inspected it in front of me allowed me to watch him get it up on the rack and show me the process of the check.This dealership has two shops one for vettes and trucks with only two techs to avoid any issues and the other shop for all other cars. The tech got me a new fuel pump approved as well he said removing the old sometimes causes damage. The best part its raining here and when they called to tell me its ready and free, they said if I like they will keep it in the garage and call whem I want to pick it up. The tech name is Brad, the dealership is Nort Shore chevy on Middle Country Rd. in St .James. I have to say the service dept was as clean and profesional as the MB dealer for my other car.
