I know your frustration! Just this evening I posted my first picture on the Forum. I did a search and found instructions that said to go to tinypic.com. You don't need to register with them to use their site. Once in Tinypic, you'll see "Upload images and videos." Use 'browse' to find the pictures on your computer, and then click the green "upload now" button. That'll get you to a second page with "Share this image." Go to the second box down and copy the IMG code, and then paste it into your message.
It worked for me, anyway. Just be sure your picture size isn't too large.

I use both tinypic.com and photobucket.com. Both easy to use. Once you download your pics to either of those sites, just copy the IMG link into your forum post and the pics should appear.

Select choose file and find the picture you want to post on your computer and select. Click the “Upload Now” green button
Type in the scrambled words/letters and upload.
After the upload you’ll see share this image. The 2nd on the list is an IMG code for forums and message boards. Copy that IMG address and paste it into a post and your photo will be displayed in the post.

The Help Forum (link above) is the best place to ask questions about how to use forum software and forum features. It's on the main menu page towards the bottom. There might be other sub-forums you were not aware of as you scroll down.
