My wife was in Fort Smith and got hit in the rear of our 04, looking at the car you couldn't tell it really had any thing wrong other than a few scratches. Went by the dealership yesterday and the whole rear section of the car is off from behind the seats back. It cracked the floor section, flattened the bumper and they are putting it on the frame machine monday to check and see if it is bent or not. Car only has 20000 miles on it and we are just sick about it right now. All because some dumb*** on a cell phone!! Wife came out ok she has some shoulder and hip pain but it could have been a whole lot worse.

Oh how terrible. I am so sorry to hear that. Damn!!! Perhaps the best thing would be if Monday's results are worse and insurance pays you more for the car??

Best,

Jax

Very sorry to hear about that - Hoping for the best!

It sounds like they are doing it correctly and it should be good as new when they are all done

Snap some pics when you can or if you can!

Thanks,Matt

Cell phone seen to cause way more trouble that anything else as far as driving is concerned. Glad she wasn't hurt.

People seem to be driving a LOT worse around my area. Add cell phones to the mix and it's like these people drank a fifth of Jack.

Sorry to hear that. Hope they can get it back as good as new. Surprised someone hasn't screamed "TOTAL IT" yet. Would be a shame with such low miles.

I've been hit twice in the rear and it's not a nice feeling. Couple days ago I was driving back from the paint store useing a back country road. Some idiot in a Grand Am came flying around a bend half over in my lane. I dove off to the right and luckily the shoulder was only muddy. If we would have caught corner to corner, it would have been ugly. People drive like idiots and it just gets worse.

We have a law in Maryland which prohibits use of a cell phone while driving. Going down the road, it seems 4 of 5 drivers are on the phone talking or texting. That does not count the idiots reading the paper or a book. I see them on I95 doing about seventy with a book over the steering wheel.

Damn! Sorry to hear. This is my worst fear cuase there is usally very little to avoid it other than keeping your car parked in your driveway. The other night I was out driving and I stopped at a stop sign. Sure enough I saw lights coming up fast behind me and I heard the sound of screeching tires as the trucks brakes locked up. He stopped about 20 inches from my rear bumper. Yeah I got lucky.

I've been rear ended twice here in FL with another car and I usually push in the clutch and left off the brake and that method has caused me to escape serious damage as I just get pushed.

That's horrible news. I hope the wife is feeling better today. Is she going to see a doctor about the pains? Keep us updated on everything, and I hope there's good news on the frame.

^ I know exactly what you mean! Everyday when I'm commuting back from DC I see these people and it really ticks me off especially the people texting. Driving is one thing you need to pay attention with. Stupid things like that cause accidents and it just creates nothing but problems.

First off, glad your wife is OK. Sounds like the dealership is being very thorough with the car - hope everything works out with the repair.

She was on Rogers Ave. right in front of chick fillet, between the two stop lights right there. She is doing pretty good just sick after looking at her car in that condition.

Wow! Glad to see that your wife is ok. How fast was the guy going when he hit her? Did air bags go off?
