I want to replace my brake hoses. I got some stainless braided ones that don't seem right. There are two long ones and two short ones. The long ones are long enough for the front but the short ones are too short for the back. The short ones are also too short for the front.
I took another shot at it on Sunday. The lines went in. They sure don't waste any hose material. Even the stock ones seem tight.
The worst part of the job was getting the little clips off that hold the hoses. I finally decided it was best to just remove the little bracket and then take the clip off. It took about 3 hours with the jacking and bleeding. Cleaning up took some time.
Although the brake feel is better, it didn't fix my problem which is that I don't like the amount of brake pedal travel.
Installed mine on a Sunday and was puzzled by the different length and even though it is a simple install the DIY I browsed failed to mention the different line length. A Google search found a result on a different Vette forum about the line length but I called Randy at DRM Monday just to make sure. The rear lines are so long because of how much the rear suspension travels. At least that's how mine were. Sounds like yours may have been a tad shorter then the DRM ones.
