Got my Xs power headers on friday night but rain prevented me from a test drive. Today was a beautiful sunny day on the Outer Banks so I took it out for it's maiden run with the new headers and low restriction cats. All I gotta say is "WOW"! With no tune yet the car hauls "BUTT"!
I know it's just S.O.P. but I know it now runs much stronger than before. The headers were pretty easy to install and fit perfectly!
I blocked off the a.i.r. tubes and pulled the # 50 fuse but no codes yet [fingers crossed]. I'll have the a.i.r. tuned out when I save up enough for a dyno tune. I think the car would run a high 12 second E.T. right now with a set of slicks! It feels very strong.
Thanks again to Huron Speed for a great product and no B.S.!
You guys "ROCK"!!!!
I just finished up the install of my XSPower Long Tube headers as well today and absolutely love em! Great price and very nice looking/sounding product! Cant wait to tune the car and really take advantage of the added HP! Enjoy!
you did good! How fast can you go on that only road in the outer banks...maybe 45 mph?
I can't really get her up to 45mph down here because of all the horse& buggys on the one dirt road on the banks! Also the hot babes in their string bikini"s all want to walk in the road!

A quick question from a performance newbie...
I already installed a Corsa Indy Pro exchaust sytem, so if I added long tube headers, should I still install an X-pipe or do the long tubes replace the X-pipe and extend all the way back to the exhaust? In general, when you install new "Long Tube Headers" what components are actually replaced/extended?

My headers came with the x-pipe with high flow cats and pipes from the x-pipe to my catback system [Barsonni] in my case!
Everything is basically replaced from the engine back to the cat backs.

Thanks. Can a Corsa X-pipe be used or does each specific brand header require their own brand X-pipe?
Congrats on your new Headers,
I have had them since June, I love them also. I see that you double nutted the bolts on the xpipe to the header watch those nuts because I have lost one after about a month, I have been OK since.
I was very impressed in my power gains, sound and throttle response with the headers. I scare people when I start my car now. Wait till you feel the torque when you come off an exit ramp. These really woke up my 2000 coupe.

Sounds great. So what kind of HP bump can you expect from this type of mod?
