Default Tire question

What is the best tire combo to run on stock zo6 wheels for autocrossing and road racing? I know the sizes are a bit odd. I would like to run something along the lines of a Michelin pilot cup sport or bfg r1. Any advice?

I use the Nitto 555rII's for Road Courses and have been happy with them. I was able to get 6 track days / 4k miles out of the first set. They held up well and delivered good grip during my last event at Buttonwillow Race Park this past Saturday. I have just ordered another set from America's Tire in S Cal for approx $1,200 OTD.

I am running:

305/35/18 Rears
275/40/17 Fronts

Can anyone offer an informed opinion on the Toyo R888's in same sizes / usage ?

Not sure about the sizes in the Michelin or BFG. I run Hankook RS3s, 255/17(f) and 285/18(r). They are smaller, but the grip is unreal. They don't have as much feedback as a Dunlop and are bigger. The Kumho XS is fatter, but is supposedly horrid in the wet and about 2x's the money of the Kooks. I will be buying another set of RS3s this year.
