There's a thread, like this, that went over the edge in November about black wheels on Silver/Pewter/Gray Vettes, and actually, it had gotten down right ignorant when people start throwing around "ghetto looking."
Why does there have to be such a strong opinion on what other people like to do with their Vettes, really.

A couple of points for consideration...
Just my opinion, but I don't care for C6 wheels on a C5, just doesn't look right.
The CCW wheels that many have are absolutely beautiful!
I was a Harley mechanic for many years so I have extensive experience working with, creating, and caring for polished aluminum. Nothing metal is more beautiful than polished aluminum, but consider the time and effort you will invest in caring for it and keeping it looking right. Chrome is much easier to care for (brake dust is very corrosive, grit, grime, etc.).
In terms of beauty, ease of care, and quality, I think there is no better choice than OEM chrome thin spokes.
Like I said, just my opinion and we all know what those are worth.....

Wow, I have a 02 Pewter Metallic corvette and that picture with the
CCW 505's really looks great to me! Right now I have chrome repro
Z06 wheels, they look OK, but not even close to those CCW 505's..

Think my 3 favorite wheels so far for our cars would be these...
I've never warmed up to those CCW 505 wheels to be honest.
