[Z06] knocking sound

knocking sound
I have a noticeable knock from the front drivers side of the engine, I used my stethoscope on it and know it's not an injector or valve. It sounds like maybe a lifter, but the sound isn't RPM related. I can't get any deeper on the block because of the serpentine belt. Could be something pully related? I can't hear it on the exhaust side, only further down in between the valve cover and intake manifold.
Again, it doesn't get louder or faster with RPM, I actually can hear it once i put any load on the engine. Common issue? what you guys think?

The LS motor has been known for some cylinder slap and it may sound similar to what you are describing, but I can't say that for sure with your situation...just not enough info.
