Default Rice or nice?

this mild rice, my rice meter isn't wildly going on, maybe because it says Corvette an not Brembos or something and maybe because it looks more like a cover and no Calipers. what do you think

Looks unsafe to me.. Seems like that would have an adverse effect on cooling. If that came off...

It seems that in pics(not close up)they look OK, but if you have ever seen them first hand they look cheap and definitely fake.

I think they look nice, however anyone who knows anything about Corvettes will know they are fake and that alone would bother me. So I wouldnt do them.

I think they look better than a faded caliper and dresses up the tire, JMHO. To each their own I say. The make them in Silver, Black and Red.

Here is the description from the ad on Corvette Central.

Genuine GM C5 C6 Corvette Brake Caliper Cover Black Aluminum Powder Coated Finish

Description
Now you can dress-up your calipers with these Aluminum covers. Black Power coated for long lasting color. Not only do these covers hide the ugly caliper but also reduce brake dust, reduce heat and brake fade. They are secured using a patented fastening system.

I bought them when they first came out...sold them right away. They do not fit well and the guy is making a killing on them at the exorbitant price they are at now. run away as fast as you can and save up for the real deal....

That's what they make caliper paint for. When your car's paint is faded, you don't just cover it up. LOL

OK, again I am new to all this and just trying to learn and understand, so what is the real deal? New brakes, calipers and rotors????

I bought the car used and it appears mostly stock. Here is what is on there now and how I bought it. The appear silver but faded. Is this stock? What would be an upgrade? I like the look of the Black Brake covers like the red ones above. I also like the look of the highly polished, slotted, and drilled rotors. What would be the "real" upgraded look??? What are the real costs to do this type of upgrade??
Thanks for the patience and help in advance.
