Check eng light with Kooks headers
I have a 1999 stock. I put kooks long tubes headers on then got a P1153 coad. Was told that I would have to get it tune and dyno to get gid of the coad. I took it to get it tune and dyno after 50 miles it came back. is there somthing I have to do or did they not do somthing.

If I remember correctly you have to get the program or whatever it is that will trick the computer in the car to think that the sensors do not exist. I am not sure what it's called or anything since I haven't done to much research on it myself, but I will be interested in the name since I am planning on doing headers on the Vette soon.

Did you remove your CO2 sensors? Did you get them crossed left to right?
P1153 is Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Insufficient Switching Bank 2 Sensor 1
I believe you can remove the code by a tuner, I could be wrong.

Did you do away with your a.i.r. tubes and air pump? I just got the check engine light yesterday on my "99". I installed my long tubes a couple weeks ago and disabled and removed my a.i.r. tubes. I thought i was going to get by but the check engine light finally came on yesterday after a hard pull!
i guess i will need to have a tune !
