Default Recommendations for Mechanics/Shops

Anyone in the Central Pennsylvania area have had good experiences with local repair shops for their Corvettes? From Carlisle to Harrisburg [east to west] and from Gettysburg to Newport [south to north]. I like to do what I can, but when it gets over my head, it would be nice to know of your experiences with local wrenches. Thanks.

Does everyone do their own work in my neck of the woods? Or are there only mediocre shops in the area?

I sent you information on a local guy that has a small shop in the Harrisburg area that has been recommended to me by other Vette owners but I have not used yet.
If you use him, let me know what you think of him.

Singularly the best shop in Pennsylvania is www.countycorvette.com 317 Westtown road in West Chester, PA @ 610-696-7888. You can't get better, more comprehensive and capable technicians anywhere. They are only minutes from the Pennsylvania Turnpike. 45 minutes from Harrisburg. You can rent a car from Enterprise Auto rental two minutes from the shop. It's really simple and Jim S. and Justin are two guys who know whatever you need done. And the prices are really more than Satisfactory & economical.

My car is there now for some small interior work. I've used County Corvette for the last fifteen years and I'm NEVER DISAPPOINTED ! These people live and breath Corvettes or any GM product you have. They have restored dozens of NCRS top Flight awarded Corvettes. Any kind of custom work is done as well.

They can fix the simple to the most complex you can possible think of. One visit to the shops and you'll be blown away with the multi-levels of work they do. I have sent some of my Corvette buddies to the shop and they have all come back with a real sense of pleasure and satisfaction. I guarantee it. If your not satisfied I'll help you myself. It's just the best shop/company I've ever found in my 50 years of automobile ownership. I wouldn't recommend them if I had any doubt that they will convince you themselves.

West Chester is about 2 hours from where I live. If I wanted to do something to the car that was beyond my ability, I would consider them. It's for those times that there may be a problem that the Vette is not running right that I would like to have a shop/mechanic that's "Vette oriented" nearer to my home. BTW, I am southwest of Harrisburg by about 15 miles.
