Default XS Power LT Headers ?

After getting a local quote of nearly $2,300 (including installation but no tune) for a set of "brand name" LT Headers, I stumbled on several posts on the XS Power LT Headers which seem to run about $800-$900.

Seems like the reviews are good on the overall quality.

Anyone have any thoughts as to the quality , fit and finish of the XS Power LT? Are the Cats as good quality wise as say the ARH?

Do the headers hang too low?

Any installation issues?

Again, I've read the posts which all seem super positive.

From the photos, the welds on the XS headers seem not as well refined, but this may be more of an aesthetic issue.

You generally get what you pay for - but seems like a lot of folks like this product on this forum.

Thanks

I have them on my car, and I installed a few sets. No problems in any way.

2300.00 bux and not even a dyno tune or a base tune? thats crazy!! talk about **** raping someone. here, go to texas speed website and order their c5 longtube headers. they are priced very well. depending on how far you are from them take a drive and have them do the install as well. for 2300.00 that should include labor on cam and heads install too aslong as you supply the parts. 2300.00 for just headers and install is crazy talk. check out texas speed down below, they are a sponsor on here as well.

With the money I saved by going with XSPower headers , I put towards a heads and cam package from Texas speed !

I have them on a 2003 Z06. Good fit, tuck up tight under the car. Still look like the day I bought them, only difference is the primaries have taken a blue/gold tint from the heat. Welds all looked fine.

If you haven't read it yet, there is a huge thread on them if you search for it. Pretty much all positive reviews, and they're sold by a forum vendor.

Love mine, installed them in my garage using jacks. Not a single problem with them, they even fit around the quicktime bellhousing. I say go for it and save the extra cash and get a dyno tune and a cam

Thanks all! I did read through many of the posts on the XS headers the other night and generally very positive.

The price differential is significant compared to the "brand name" headers. Plus adding the local Houston labor for install of about $500 USD or more.

Is it pure gravy, or are the "brand name" header makers including for example much higher quality high flow cats?

The cats are 200 cell, some of the best high flow cats you can get! I have had zero reports of anyone having any emissions issues with them and they flow terrific! Also have zero reports of any coming apart, and they kill the fume smell! Let me know if you have any other questions about the XSPower header system. I can get you set up!

I had them on my car for a super short period of time. The fit was good, the welds in person were good, and the sound was good too. I only changed them out because I wanted bigger primaries.
