Yeah, I've had positives and negatives on the wing, but at the end of the day, I like it, and that's what counts.

Don't worry mate, if one day I'm feeling philanthropic and decide to give it away, I've already scratched your name off the short list, so sleep easy.

Define, perfect fitment

I am admittedly a little high for a perfect stance IMHO, but if I wanna drive the thing, it needs an inch 'er two.

I rather like to think of it as...athletic...yeah

ErikwithAK01.... I have to tell you, I love your Vette. Nice work. There are a lot of really nice cars in this thread, but every time I see a pic of your Vette I have to take a pause. That is sharp.

Car being second. Wife being first, of course

Someone recently told me that I have the best looking C5 they had ever seen with body side moldings

LG coil overs. I ended up having to raise it an inch because it bottomed out with passengers. I think it still looks ok, and it's functional.

Ha ha ha I'm not a fan of BSM at all, but your car is so sick that whoever told you that is spot on.

Lowering will only lead to aggravation, and for what? I don't see how the good will outweigh the bad.

What aggravation are you referring to? As long as your local roads, driveways and obstructions allow it, why wouldn't you? Done properly, a lower center of gravity will yield better handling/cornering characteristics. And, a C5 looks a lot better lower than higher. It is a sports car, afterall. If these weren't intended to be lowered then GM wouldn't have built them with a height-adjustable suspension.

you nailed it...you said it yourself. Driveways, ramps, speed bumps, and all the unpredictable dips and intersections are precisely the aggravations. The car handles great, and it's low to the ground. If you really think the good outweighs the bad on a lowered Corvette. Then happy motoring to you!

Well, I'm one of the fortunate many who don't have to contend with such hindrances and have lowered mine a fair amount. Wouldn't have it any other way. A broad sweeping statement that a lowered C5 will cause aggravation doesn't apply to everyone, hence my disclaimer, "... allow it."
I'm glad we see eye to brow.
