Default Problem removing passenger seat

Not sure if it's unique or not.

For my '03 Z06, I'm trying to remove the passenger seat, it's not a power seat. The problem is that the seat is stuck all the way back and I cannot gain access to the bolts back there.

Any ideas?

You have to move it forward to get to the bolts. If it's stuck all the way back, you have to "un-stuck" it. I can't see any other way.

Might try spraying /saturating the tracks & all under steel pieces w/WD40, then.....
Set in the seat & keep rocking back & forth till your blue in the face w/the release lever in it's proper position.
Good luck.

I'm sure someone else will chime in. The only time the seats were out of my vette, the bolts were the easy part. Good Luck.

I will try the WD40.

At the risk of sounding like a dumb@$$, the proper position is when I'm seated in the passenger seat, the bar is pulled up to move the seat, right?

I've only sat in the passenger seat of my car once...

I think you can remove the seat cushon and then reach the bolts.

Look under and see where or what the lever releases and try to release it manually and do as others say and spray with PB Blaster or WD40.

The seats will move a lot easier if you sit in them. I'm assuming you have tried this but if not give it a shot.

Make sure the release linkages and levers are all connected, you may be able to also give them a little hands on help.

I've had the seats out of my C-5s several times, in fact my OEM seats are sitting in the garage now. I'm not sure there is a easy way to remove the seat cushions in C-5s (unlike C-4). The release handle does pull up, and as stated earlier, you will get better leverage and it works easier if you're seated in the seat. The sliders are double latches - one on each side and when I just looked at mine, I noticed that the latch on the track on inboard side was not attached to the end of the release bar. If greasing it up and a little applied physics doesn't work, PM me w/your e-mail and I'll take some pics of the underside and tracks so you have an idea what to try to reach and release.
Good luck
