Default Dyno numbers in....

Never got a chance to dyno it when I bought it last Aug. Bought it and it only had CAI and Stinger exh. Well I had to do a spring swap as I lost the #7 valve guide it was broke in 1/2. So at the time I did the springs and put a cam in. Current setup as follow and did two pulls. Stk tune and no tweaking of the tune because we had technical difficulties w/ the laptop.

-Borla quad tip stinger exhaust
-Breathless performance intake
-Breathless performance carbon fiber air duct
-Lingenfelter Ported TB
-11.1 compression Cometic head gaskets
-ARP Head bolts
-CC918 springs
-CC 224/228 .534/.537 @ .050 112 LSA
-CC 7.400 Hardened Pushrods
-1 3/4" LG Pro headers
-X-pipe w/ cats

1st pull 385rwhp/363rwtq @ 6000 rpm SAE corrected
2nd pull 396rwhp/376rwtq @ 6100 rpm SAE corrected

There was an audible sound @ 5K rpm from the right tail pipe and it showed up on the graph as a significant dip. We don't know what it was but it only happened on the 1st pull and not the 2nd. Pig rich as well once past 4500 rpm. Since we didn't put a wideband on it we don't know by how much but there is room to get some more out of the engine. This is on a 117K mile motor too. Wish I could've got it dyno'd prior to the work done just to see how much it had in stock form. From 3K rpm I had 350rwtq and climbing. Can't wait to actually get it tuned. Hopefully it'll see 415-425rwhp I'm guessing.

Can't post the graph or the vid as I don't have them yet but I will once I get it. Just thought I'd share....

I'm glad there are still some people with good tast in cams. That may be a small cam in today's cam selections but that will rape on the streets. Good choice! Your mid range is probably killer!

You won't be at 425 whp though bud. I say the most you'll squeeze out is 405 ish. You'll need some nice heads and with that cam, your looking at around 435-440 ish with heads, small runner heads. Don't worry about numbers bro, e.t's and trap speed is what counts. The real bragging right.

Yes, it's blast on the street. I lost a little torque on the low end when switching to this cam but I believe I can get some of it back in the tune. It's still has grunt down low which I like so by losing some it's not a game changer for me. But now it just pulls so hard up top even w/ the stk tune in there. The cam will pull all the way up to 6600. Hopefully in the weeks to come I'll throw some 1.8 rockers on as well. Not sure why so many people go and get those large cams on their street driven car. Guess they just like a lot of lope at idle.

I hear what you're saying. But the fact that it's on the stk tune I'd think I could safely squeeze out another 10-15 out of it. Not worried about numbers, even at the track...I have too much fun w/ it on the streets in back country roads. I do plan to track it though this spring or summer vs the 1/4.

1.8 rockers are a good idea with that cam. I'm guessing you also had the heads milled? I'm unaware of any head gaskets that bump our CR all the way up to 11.1.

Yeah but I don't remember how much exactly so with the cometics it was just an estimate.

Yea that's a great cam. You should probably gain low end over stock because its on 112. A good tune will make a night and day difference throughout the entire rpm range.
