I finally decided to make an account after creeping around for a couple of months. I do not have a C5 just yet. I have to pay off my 01 WS6 and sell it first. I have been a member of a couple different car forums and I can honestly this is the best by far. There is so much support from everyone. I dont recall any childish bickering at all. I do enjoy reading your posts and looking at your beautiful cars; especially since i have alot of free time at my desk. Anyways you guys have a great thing going here and im glad to be apart of it.
Welcome!! A lot of guys [and gals?] got into vettes the same way. We bitch at each other on occasion but get over it quick. We all have the same affliction. Read, listen, learn, and get a C5! Rod
Welcome to the party!! I'm not too far ahead of you. I bought my 98 C5 coupe in Oct 2011 and man, its the best. The members of this forum are absolutely an amazing bunch of people and I've already made some great friends via messaging and email, even though I have yet to meet any of them in person. And furthermore, they're brutally honest and unbelievably helpful. It is so cool when I'm out prowling in the Vette and I meet another Vette owner and we wave to each other. It's indeed a great community and brotherhood, and this forum is an extension of that. Just holler if you have questions. The guys here will help immediately. You WILL be amazed.

Welcome to the forum! I've had three 4th gen f-bodies (Formula, TA and LT4 Hawk), and I'm also on my 4th Vette. You will love owning a Vette, but even more you'll love the owner community. No matter where you are, you'll find plenty of people to hang out with and do whatever you are interested in, whether it be drag racing, road course, open road, car shows, or just hanging out.
When you decide to take the plunge and buy a C5 don't just limit yourself to your local area. If you find one that you really like I'm sure a forum member wouldn't mind checking it out for you.
I for one wouldn't mind helping at all.
Good luck with the search. Finding your first Vette is so much fun.

Absolutely agree! I think it has to do with the fact that vettes command a more "mature" (see older) crowd lol. Not to many 18-21yr olds on here trying to be internet gangstas
I would have to say my favorite part of this forum is the push from everyone to post as many pics and vids as possible. There are no "take that rice stuff off " comments or something else that is uncalled for. If someone isnt the biggest fan of what you may of done to your car. they are polite and just say something like "thats not my cup of tea but if you like it then go for it"
