Default Here today !

Mabye the wrong place. . . And well it's not even out of winter here in Pennsylvania, and premium Petrol just cleared the $4 dollar mark. And it's not even memorial day ! Now last time the price of gas soared to the $5.00 mark the oil companies said not enough refineries ? Well around here we have five of them, 5 ! and the last one closed this morning. What do you think is going to be the oil companies excuse this summer ?

What a way to run a country.

I have a Diesel and am paying out the nose as well. Wait until "regular" hits 4.00 and then you'll start to hear the groaning. But it is very interesting that we don't hear about the phenomenal rise in fuel costs to run our vehicles and heat our homes. All we hear about is contraception; put an aspirin between her legs or every working American will receive 40 bucks per paycheck more now. 40 Bucks?? doesn't quite cover a 1/3 of a tank of gas or diesel. Our GOP and DEM leaders are indeed leading us down a path to no where. I guess they are too busy getting ready to set up job fairs for our returning military. I am retired military and we already have "10 point dibs" for civil service exams and GI bill. Now it's up to each ex-military individual to take the initiative and make something of themselves. Do they really need their hand held to get a job? I should hope not; they were able to defend the country with their lives, this should be easy. Sorry for ranting; I could go on.

Their reasons and the facts are at odds with each other. Reasons: Tensions in the middle east. Facts: GREED! Plain and simple. Raise the price as high as can be gotten away with. Watch the economy drop right back in the toilet as the price of fuel climbs. My $.02.

They are refining the oil into gas and jet fuel and selling it to China for more money. It dosent matter how much we conserve.

I guarantee that if we vote out Obama and get Santorum or Newt or Mitt, there will be no difference. We will still be saying the same words under the new regime. So, at the end of the day, we are...[do I have to say the word...again?]

Fortunately I live a mile from the US border and purchase most of my fuel in Washington State.

Same price here in town. Once it hits 1.50/L, I'll be digging out my bicycle from the shed

None of them can or will do anything about being raped by big oil. I'm retired and don't have to drive; I really pity the poor folks who have to commute to their jobs and pour the money they need for food or housing into the bottomless pit of the big oil companies. Our economy is held hostage by the oil companies.

There's a lot more to it folks. I could explain it all in detail but I have done so in PR&C so many times my head hurts from it.

But most of you are partly correct. But it's not just the oil companies, it's wall street, it's other countries who produce oil but but buy our gas just to keep oil high and take away our supply. It's china who uses all the money they make off of us to buy our fuel to keep our economy down.

Now the question is, why isn't something being done about it? Let's go to PR&C and we'll talk.

As soon as you explain to me how to get civilian employers to quit waving the flag on sunny days, and actually stand by what they say in public, I may agree with you.

Don't know what rank you retired at or when but sometimes what appears obvious is not always the case. Nothing has changed much since the days of VN, only they don;t openly spit on us. Behind our back we're still those people who can't do anything else.

In will say this. It's time every one stopped looking for others to give them favors and free money and start taking care of themselves.

But until they lazy, the liars, and the no good quit taking from those who do work and hide behind the freedoms these people provide, I'll support anything they might do for the returning vets. WE OWE THEM.

But of course I haven't heard any of them asking for special favors either.

Oh yeah, 10 points? You think that's going to put you ahead of women and minorities? Think again. OR maybe they don't want to suck off the government with a nice cushy gov job. When I retired I applied for several of these jobs. I recived an email back each time stating we have recived the allotted number of applications for this position, so long sucker! The GD government panders to minorities and women. You should know that being retired military.

$3.29 for regular/mid grade and $3.49 for premium here - still bad enough. The inevitable rise in the price of gas is one of the reasons I recently sold my previous DD and got a smaller, more fuel efficient economy car. Just trying to stay a little ahead of the curve and not have to pay so much of the budget out each month for fuel costs.

Sad thing is we are paying for futures.......lets at least pay for the Premium we use at the price it was paid for when they filled int tanks at the gas station. Would eliminate the premium getting as old and we would use more fuel driving around seeing who still has last weeks prices!!

You think there is a reason that Jet Fuel prices don't change every day? They negotiate price of fuel for long term....why Can't we get that done at the local QT?? HAHA
