Default Transmission line leak.

I posted this question in the Tech section and got one reply.

I just noticed that one of my trans lines is leaking near the radiator. Very small leak but I want to fix it. Is this something I can do with a floor jack and stands or do I need to put it on a lift? Are there any special tools I need?
It leaks on the passenger side. I don't know which line is leaking. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Yes! You can fix it and it will only take simple hand tools, metric wrenches! Just always make sure you back up any part with another wrench when possible

Undo it anywhere it is leaking from and clean off the threads and inspect closely -

They are flared fittings so the should not need any sealant on them, "BUT" you could use a small amount of teflon tape on the threads only - tighten and inspect for leakage.

If for some reason it is leaking due to a cracked fitting on the radiator them PM me and I'll suggest what you can do and it will save the tranny in the long run too

Thanks,Matt
