Default new 2002 owner

howdy just bought a 2002 with 28k miles because after buying a different car every 3 months for the last 4 years I decided to get the car I have wanted since I was a child(except this one is automatic for now at least)

only mods so far are a full billy boat exhaust from the headers back. and a glass spare roof(cracked soon to be replaced)

just figured I would say hello

anyone know how much it is to have a shop swap a 6 speed in it including parts?

heres my car and I also my other hotrod

I am a truck driver that is home once every two weeks and barely get to drive a car because I do 3000 miles a week in a Kenworth

I feel like I finally made it at the young age of 24

also will a 2008 automatic shift **** fit these cars?

the c5 auto **** is horrible

Your vette is beautiful, but as a guy who also drove trucks
in the wholesale milk business why would you want a six speed.
After 2 weeks of punching those gears on the interstate
enjoy that automatic on your weekends off. Im 65 and would
never want tp push on a clutch again. Good Luck with you new vette

Welcome to the forum! Sounds like you still didn't get the car you wanted. Should have got the MN 6 if that was what you wanted.

well I am not upset with an auto yet because in a semi you are shifting into 6th gear at 15mph.. so it does get annoying

thanks the hotrod is for sale here in springfield,mo for 15k (less than 2000 miles on it and its an 09)

I gotta sell that car to pay mine off and make room.

I live with my father as I am never home and he isnt thrilled about me having 2 vehicles in his 3 car garage.

I borrow his spare car to leave at work so no one keys my vette and the hotrod doesnt get used because its cold and topless

Welcome to the forum. Your newVette is nice looking. (I too was a driver and I'm so happy I got the auto instead of the 6 speed.) After shifting all week it was a pleasure to just sit back and be cool. hahaha That hot rod is beautiful. That's something I always wanted to build. Good luck with both.

Man, if you've bought and sold that many cars in the past, then I'm willing to bet that you'll be selling this car come summertime so that you can buy a 6 speed.

I have had well over 30 cars since I started driving at 16 and I am 24 now... within the last 6 months alone its been 99jeep wrangler on 35s, I bought a 2008 cbr 600, I bought a 03 vstar 650 custom built, I got engaged and bought an hhr, I broke up and got a 2005 mini s 6 speed and a tbucket, and sold all the toys but the tbucket and bought a corvette

well I plan to keep this car and swap a 6 speed if I really dislike the auto(anyone know the cost of having a shop do this)

ya my father and mother are both retired and travel about 6-8 months of the year. so I watch the house and stay there usualy 3 days a month at most.

guess I should post my real daily driver

2012 kenworth t660 10 speed cummins

120k miles on her(shes my 3rd t660 because they arent reliable)

I love Vettes but you will miss the "T" bucket! I will bet it will blow the doors off the vette in a straight line!
