I thought it was something like 2001+ had the LS6, but wasn't sure if they all had it? Don't hold me to that though... interested in knowing myself as I have an '04.
I'm a relatively new owner, but I'm planning going for mostly interior and aesthetic mods-lights, interior, replacing crazed roof, etc. I already have a performance exhaust and a brake upgrade. I don't see much point in toying with the engine right now. If I spend 80% of my drive glued to the bumper of the person in front of me with 350hp, I can't imagine what would happen if I had 500.
What do you want out of the car - performance or looks, or both?
Figure out what is going to make you happy. If you are into car shows and appearance mods, then maybe some new wheels might be a good route. On the other hand, if you are always craving more HP, then maybe a CAI, headers, and a tune will make you smile every time you hit the go pedal.
Too many too list! But then again, I admit that I have problem...I modded my Volvo Station Wagon
Here are a couple of my very first mods: Better Lighting! Good:HID's stock housings-> Better/Best:-> ACA Projector housings & 55W HIDS Lower the car: Free Mod(Good): Factory Adjusting bolts-> Better(looking) -> Longer Bolts Best:-> Coil-overs
Engine stuff also add noise and heat. Gears are great for an auto.
3.42's probably best for all around driving - I have 3.73's and they are a little better around town and maybe a bit worse on the highway. A nice mid stall converter is nice as well.
