Just wanted to relate my positive experience in purchasing new tires on line. I ordered four new Sumitomo HTRIII tires for my C-5 yesterday afternoon from tirerack.com. $598 delivered. They were delivered to my place of business @ noon today. Hard to beat that service. I'm impressed. Just thought you all would want to know. Cheers.
Good to hear about the delivery service.
Question? Now that you have the tires, how do you plan to have them mounted. Are you going to have the tires mounted with a touchless style mounting procedure? Reason I'm asking is I'm wanting to order new tires but haven't had time to find out about the mounting of the tires once they arrive at the door. I dont want my rims scratched up.
Thanks, GG

I always check them, and always buy elsewhere. Never the cheapest and never free shipping. A big fan of buying online but my last set of tires were bought local. They matched the best online deal including a discount for no sales tax. Yes I paid tax but that was figured in the deal.

I need a set but am also worried about the mounting. As I understand it, the wide low profile combined with TPMS can be tricky and not something just any gas station should handle. I would be interested to hear what others have experianced with mounting these internet deals.

I haven't decided on where to get them mounted. I'm gonna order four new tpms first. They want a pretty penny to mount and balance 4.That I know. I'll probably have a neighboring shop near where I work do it. I think last time he charged eighty bucks. Too much but what are you gonna do? I would like to find a place that does road force balancing . It really makes a big difference.
