I have a 2004 Z16 Z06 and I'm looking at getting a compartment divider to minimize road voice from the rear. Few questions
-Do they work
-Where did you buy from
-How much
-Anyone have one they're not using anymore
I bought one about a year ago for my vert and it really doesn't do anything. I tried it multiple times in and out of the car and really couldn't tell any difference.
Also, when I had a new catback installed I was talking to a Z06 owner who noticed my partition and he said the same thing.
If you have a stock exhaust it may do something, but with a loud catback I wouldn't waste the money. Also it didn't make the factory stereo sound any better either.
I can't remember who I purchased it from, but it was in the $110 range. (Has a little window in the center with the C5 emblem).
It's now sitting in my crawl space, but may give it another go in the spring after I hear it with the new cam.

I made my own. My Z06 has Borla exhaust and the partition made quite a difference in the noise level. I also made a package tray for the area behind the seats to hold drinks, DVDs, etc.

Very nice.. What did you make the vertical divider out of and did you buy carpeting that matched the car??

I added on to my coupe a few years ago - great for keeping things organized and from sliding around in the back. Also great for "hiding" things in the cargo area from prying eyes. Useless for sound blocking (as would be expected since a baffle has no sound blocking ability).
