For a stock C5 convertible. This time, Bilstein HDs vs. Koni FSD shocks. Both have lifetime warranties however hoping for some guidance regarding ride quality, comparisons, etc.

Thanks for the info Dennis. I already have C5 Z06 sway bars installed so how do the Pfadt shocks compare to the Bilsteins and the Konis? What are the differences between the Z06 Sway bars and the sway bars included in this kit? Any other color options besides yellow?
My 98 vette has 84,000 miles on f45 suspension which still seems to be working. If and when I change shocks I will be checking out the Koni FSD's. Hope this helps. Let us know what you decided.

I have the FSDs on my '02 Z06 with Hotchkis swaybars.
The FSDs are pricey but are amazing. Very smooth on
the street, but also work pretty good for track days.
i have blisten h d on my 98 with c6 sways and the car is fantastic . I had konis on my z28 and thought they kind of a replacement shock , not really a upgrade , imo. blisten all the way for performance
If you're looking for a shock that will definitely improve the handling capability of your Corvette without breaking the bank, the Johnny O'Connell package is really great. They will ride a bit firmer than your Base shocks on the Convertible, but if you're interested in proper handling they will move your Corvette to the next level.
The entire Johnny O'Connell package is a matched set of sway bars and shocks specifically designed to make your Corvette easier to drive fast on the street and the track. We do this by increasing the front sway bar diameter in comparison to the front, this makes the car corner flatter as well as make the overall balance of the car much more neutral rather than oversteer prone like the factory suspension packages tend to be. Take a look at our sway bar comparison chart for an idea of how our sway bar packages will change the balance of your car:

I'm not really sure what I'm looking at on this chart so can anyone with real-life experience of this package chime in? Major differences over stock and/or C5 Z06 sways? Also, do the sway bars come in other colors besides yellow?
