Default Which Letters for the Rear End?

My '01 Corvette convertible is torch red with the tan top. Pretty much stock. I'm thinking I want to fill in the engraved CORVETTE letters on the tail end of the car. What would look better, chrome, silver, or black? Secondly, do I really want to do this? Has anyone done it and then didn't like it?

I have read that the chrome inserst hold up the best and although they are chrome, I am interested in getting them as well, but only to paint them Arctic White to offset my black rear fascia.

I like black best. Never been a fan of anything chrome though.

My personal favorites thus far are the rounded edge SS/Chrome letters from Mid America. They also offer a matching set for the front.

For torch red, I'd go with chrome.

Does anyone make these in red carbon? I would like to cover up the embarrassing corvette on the back as well, but Iwould rather it be a tad more subtle so I would like something close to the same color but a little darker. I think red carbon would look good.

All I can find is ss and black. Although the ss above me does look good. I just don't think it would go well with my car because I don't have anything else chrome or ss, other than my exhaust tips.

Red (not sure about CF) ones are available. Our club president has red letters on his black coupe and look sharp. Have you checked all the main vendors?

I thought I did but I will look again. I guess I was concentrating more on the CF when I was looking.

No problem. Now as for the looks, 50/50 chance you'll decide not to do the red on red so both of us won't have anything to show for the last 15 minutes of our life.

I would like to see the rounded stainless version, black powder-coated (with 3/M tape laser-cut, or the like)
