As for the interchangeability, I'm not sure but, as Phanni stated, i believe they are.
I did read somewhere that in 2001 they were either thicker material or there was another layer added, or something like that, for better sound control.

They are repairable.
There are a couple of threads on this forum on the procedure.
If the window is completely out it'd be tough, but my 2000 was coming loose in a couple of 3 inch breaks, and using the recommended 'gorrilla' glue and a bit of time it was easy.
