Hey guys, I bought a set of Corbeau A4's to go over my arizona speed harness plates.
Problem is for whatever reason the bolts wont thread over top of the corbeau frame and the harness frame, however if I turn the nut upside down it'll thread...so the washer part is facing upwards. If I do that would you consider it safe or should I try other measures.

Just spent four hours trying to get them on
No it would not be safe.
You must have at least threads showing through the entire nut.
Try to come up with another solution.
Not really clear on what you are saying here. Are the threads in the nut messed up and that is the cause of it not going on in one direction ? Or is the bolt not long enough to pass through both items and then allow proper threading of the nut ? In either case, you need to make sure that the bolt will go down far enough to be fully threaded with at least one turn of thread coming out of the nut. The washer on the nut is there to properly spread the load across a larger surface. Inverting the nut with no washer is not safe. You might try a different nut / washer combination. Get the proper grade 8 nut and a thinner washer and try that. It will be thinner than the attached nut/washer combination. Make sure that the mounting feet on both items are absolutely flat and parallel to the floor surface. Good luck.
That's a good idea, you mean just buy a washer and nut separately?
The bolt simply isn't long enough, the top part of it isn't threaded, which sucks.

Is there any way you could take a pic of the problem area your having?
Or possibly describing a little more clearly, why this bolt isn't quite long enough, describe exactly what all this bolt is going through.
Basically there's a plate for the submarine harness that has to go under the seat bracket. So the bolt that's welded in the floor has to go through first the submarine bracket and then the corbeau bracket.
The problem is first the last 1/2 inch of the bolt isn't threaded, and it seems the bracket itself isn't squared, like even if i flip the nut and get it threaded the diagonal corner comes way up.

.
Yes, that was the idea. The nut / washer combinations are usually thicker than if you use separate items. Look at how they are attached together, much thicker than they need to be to get the job done. Another thing to check is the carpet. Is it holding up the brackets or do they sit directly on the floor pan ?? Cut and remove the offending piece of carpet for more clearance.

I did that, I also grinded down the middle bolt in the plate that actually holds the strap on, the corbeau frame is just a little off torqued.
I got the back plate on (which has the lap belt) and just did the front tightened down as hard as I can without the submarine belt. I guess you reallllllly don't need the submarine belt. I'm hoping if I leave it tightened for a month or so I can come back and the frame might have torqued itself to a more amicable position.
I bought smaller washers and nuts to no avail.
