Ok, 2002 Z06 with 17k miles, stock, need to rid my stock Good Year tires, traction is a joke. I drive the car ~1000 miles/year. I have determined to go with a 315/30/18 rear with stock 18 Speedlines up front in a 285/35/18. Narrowed rear to a competition tire, the Toyo R888 or a Z rated summer tire: the Michelin PS2. I'm big on aesthetics and although both will be great functionally with the PS2 being better, the r888 is likely better looking. PS2 is cheaper. Wear is not important to me. Which woulsd you buy? Car only driven during sunny days. Thanks, pics appreciated.
I'm not able to drive my car as much as I'd like due to summer monsoon and winter snow. I probably normally drive mine 1,000 miles (sometimes less) per year.
This year we've had no snow to speak of. So I've been able to get in over 500 miles in just the last month.
I recently installed the newest of the MICHELIN Pilot tire offerings. You might check into them. They're the Pilot Super Sport and so far, I'm very impressed with them...
Hotwheels - what wheels do you have the super sports mounted on? I have been waiting for those tires to come out in the stock Z06 sizes but it doesn't seem like Michelin is in any hurry to make any that fit. If you went with aftermarket wheels I'd be interested to hear which ones...
